Buckeye Ridge Bernedoodles
There is no substitute for perfection.
Paul and Angela Jewell
We are Paul and Angie Jewell and we are the owners of Buckeye Ridge Bernedoodles and Labradoodles. We started this business in 2003, and officially incorporated in 2015. Paul is a high school physical education teacher and I run Buckeye Ridge full time. We are both graduates of Ohio University. Paul grew up on a cattle farm, a mile from where Buckeye Ridge is located. I grew up a few miles from here, in the Little Italy area of Glouster. We both have had a life-long love of animals --- especially dogs and horses. We enjoy living in the country with our dogs, Lucy, Dixie and Big Mac, and our horses, Bar Hopper and Silver. When we aren't working, you can find us on our pontoon at Burr Oak Lake, hiking Hocking Hills, or camping with the dogs and horses at Smoke Rise Ranch. We also spend a lot of time in Ocala, Florida (where our adult sons, Ty and Alec reside). Please take a moment to meet our staff. Each and every one of them is an integral part of Buckeye Ridge.
We couldn't do it without their help.
Ty is our oldest son. He is a graduate of the College of Central Florida, and is a Registered Nurse in The Villages. Ty lives in Ocala, Florida with his dogs, Nahla and Mila. When Ty isn't working, he can be found scuba diving, deep sea fishing, skiing, or exploring the rain forests in third world countries.
Alec and Susan Jewell
Alec is our youngest son. He and his wife, Susan, live in Ocala, Florida with their dogs, Millie, Lexi, and Roxy. When they aren’t working, Alec and Susan enjoy taking their girls to the beach or to one of Ocala’s many dog parks. Together, they have branched off of Buckeye Ridge, and have started their own business called Prime Time Bernedoodles. If you live in Florida, Arizona, California, or Colombia, please contact Susan
at 352-454-0448 to reserve a puppy.
(Susan is also fluent in Spanish).
Cassady and Becca Willford
Cassady and Becca are a young couple from Racine, Ohio. They are the guardians for Belle and Jasmine. Cassady is an adult probation officer for Meigs County and Becca works for children services. Cassady is also the head football coach at Southern High School. When they are not busy with working or football, they love spending their time going on adventures with Belle and Jasmine and spending time with their families!
Steven provides around-the-clock care to our puppies. He is in charge of socialization, crate training, and house breaking puppies before they go home. Steven lives with his parents and siblings, on a farm in New Lexington. He is also interning part-time at Buckeye Ridge, where he helps Angie with the day-to-day running of the program. The Stones are the proud guardians of Bella, Ginger, and Jade.
Jennifer resides on a small farm in Canal Winchester, with her husband Matt and their three kids. Together, they are the proud guardians of Kona, Ellie Mae, and Remi! When Jennifer isn't busy working, you can find her out fishing, canoeing, or hanging with friends and family around a bonfire.
Amanda is a great friend, and a huge help to us when it comes to research and social media. She speaks Spanish fluently and helps with our Spanish speaking customers. Amanda lives in Canal Winchester with her husband, Russ and their six kids. She is also the guardian mom to our Gracie! When Amanda is not running with the kids to sporting events or extracurricular activities she enjoys spending time with her family and friends at the beach, by the camp fire or snuggled up watching a good movie! Wherever she is, you can be sure to find her fur babies close by!
Valerie and Bob Roth
Bob and Valerie Roth are happily retired Doodle parents to Avery, our mini black and white Bernedoodle, a mini Labradoodle named Kenzie, a Maltese, they call Mrs. Beasley, and a Persian cat named George. The Roth's have six adult children and six grandchildren, so they are accustomed to having a full house! When they aren't spending time with their family or whelping puppies, Bob can be found doing home appraisals and home improvement projects, while Valerie can be found volunteering at their local Hospice, quilting, or singing her heart out on stage with her musical group.
Shae grew up on a farm in Morgan County, where she enjoyed showing horses and cattle. She traveled all over the state of Ohio showing cattle, as well as barrel racing. She was active in 4-H and FFA. Shae currently resides in Athens County with her boyfriend Joe, his daughter Presley, and their fur babies at Smoke Rise Ranch. In Shae's free time, she enjoys riding and training horses, and working cattle with her dogs, Jake and Gizmo. Shae is an administrative assistant at Buckeye Ridge.
Kayla and Brandon Dodson
Brandon and Kayla Dodson are a young couple living in Pickerington, Ohio which is a suburb just outside of Columbus. They have one son, Dalton, who keeps them very busy, as he continues to grow each and every day. Brandon is an adult probation officer for Franklin County, and Kayla is a school psychologist for Columbus City Schools. The couple loves spending time with their family, hanging out with their dogs, and watching Ohio State football. They are the guardians for Aurora (Rory).
Julie and Bryan Hooper
Bryan and Julie are the guardians for Elsa, Anna, and Zola. When they aren't spending time with their family or whelping puppies, Bryan can be found working for Amanda Bent Bolt, while Julie is home babysitting the grandchildren. Bryan and Julie are also drivers for Buckeye Ridge, and find great joy in the happiness they see on people's faces when they deliver puppies to their homes.
Marc and Suzette Huston
Marc and Suzette reside in Lancaster, Ohio with their two boys, Mason and Crayton. They are the guardians of Bailey and Joy. Suzette is a Program Administrator with the State of Ohio Job and Family Services. Marc is in Quality Contol at TS Tech. When they are not busy with the boys' sports, they love spending their time taking Bailey and Joy for walks and car rides, and spending time with family and friends.
Randy and Amy Riley
Amy and Randy Riley are guardians for our sweet Molly girl. The Riley’s are semi-retired. They are lifelong residents of southeastern Ohio.
Randy and Amy enjoy traveling and antiquing. Randy is also an avid fisherman. They love spending time with their three children, eleven grandkids (one great grandchild, and another one on the way). Needless to say they are pretty busy, but always find time to provide plenty of love to Molly and her babies.
